It's a hot rumor right now, centered around Scoop Jardine. Type syracuse point shaving into any search engine and you'll find info. I don't buy it, personally.

I saw a short article about on Covers yesterday. Supposedly Jardine, James Southerland, and Dion Waiters are involved. Check it out if your interested it's still up on the front page.

The person who started an online rumor suggesting that three Syracuse University basketball players were involved in a point-shaving scandal has posted an anonymous apology on the website where he posted the original rumor. The poster, who was writing in the forum sections of www.pocketfives.com, implicated that Scoop Jardine, Dion Waiters and James Southerland were the subjects of an investigation into point-shaving allegations. In addition, the poster said that ESPN was working on a story.
The entire post was untrue; however, it quickly became factual in the world of the blogosphere. A Facebook posting by Andy Adamson, a YNN reporter based in Rochester, aided in the rumor’s rampant run through the web.
On Wednesday, the originator, who orginally used the name Basics, posted the following apology at pocketfives.com.
“This was a rumor I had heard as well as read on other forums such as therxforum.com and was speculative. In no way should this discussion be taken as any sort of insider info or anything of the like. It was never intended to go outside of this forum, and other blogs who are referencing this are doing so using completely unreliable and uncredible information. There is zero basis to this rumor on my behalf, and when someone like the reporter for YNN decided it was a good idea to tweet and facebook this discussion as if it were factual it got way out of hand and was done in incredibly poor and careless taste.
“I apologize to the team as well as it's fans for the level this was taken too: specifically Sccop Jardine, Dion Waiters, and James Southerland. Again, this thread was not intended to be any sort of a sports blog or direct accusation by me against anyone, it was merely a discussion thread on a poker forum and should have been treated as such.’’
Jardine, Southerland and Waiters are all in uniform and available to play in Syracuse’s game against Connecticut tonight.

zero points in almost five minutes at Uconn. If I were them I'd say I was point shaving due to embarrassment.
