Does anyone think Duke will rise to the occasion or will Ohio State give them a run for their money. Just wondering who everyone picks for the champ, i will go with a long shot and hope Syracuse or villanova can surprise.

#12I don't see the Cuse making it all the way... for three reasons... 1) they can't play half-court set offense, 2) they have no pure shooters, scorers - yes, shooters - no, and 3) they flat SUCK at free throws. Come tourney time there'll be teams pretty damn good you're playing against and you'll be in 3, 4, 5 point games with 1:30 to go and you gotta be able to knock down free throws. I wouldn't trust Cuse to do that.
Nova, Texas, OSU, Duke, maybe Purdue or Kansas...Comment -

If Kemba does come back next year for his senior year, there in absolutly no doubt UCONN in 2012 is a final four team again.

#16Duke has by far the best #1, #2, and #3 position players in the NCAA, despite losing Irving, one of the best guards in the NCAA, he'll be drafted in top 5 by NBA after his freshman yr.
But they do not have what it takes at the 4 & 5 position for the NCAA Tournament; they will get beat by thug teams this yr.
Last yr they had HUGE muslce player Zoubeck, though not a star, he was exactly what then needed, and Thomas, though not large, was tough underneath, crafty, and they also had the Plumblees, who are still there but only adequate, not capable of doing what is necessary when the Michigan States and Pittsburgs of the world are allowed to foul at will.
Sad, because Duke plays beautiful basketball, passing, finesse, shooting, "D"... but NCAA tourney is like NHL hockey playoffs, thugs win.Comment -
