In this particular case, Iowa was losers of I think 5 straight heading into this one so the books adjusted the line to factor this in, so instead of say a -6 line if Iowa was playing descent coming into this game, you got them at a discount price on the low end at a smaller line, buy low, sell high.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Look at Iowa's first five Big Ten games. Brutal schedule. They were being undervalued and overlooked here. They needed this win, and this team isn't nearly as bad as its record indicates (especially against a team like Indiana).
