I got slammed on Cuse and Kansas today. Hit my cash account hard (by hard I mean 20%). Points I was down 40%. So in an act of sheer desperation...I bet against my beloved Michigan Wolverines. I needed a big win, and there was no way the Baby Blues were going to stop Trevor Mbakwe and the Minnesota Golden Rebounding Machines. I'd never seen such a sure-thing EV+ pick on the board before so I went all in with my SBRPoints. It worked, I actually ended the day with a profit, but this loss pretty much dooms my team to finish 11th in the Big Ten, as I don't think they'll beat anyone other than Iowa and Indiana at home for the rest of the year. So much for a 10-3 start and a potential NIT bid.
I'm not proud of myself for this

#4F*#$K loyalties, I live in Green Bay and went to Packer games when I was a kid and have been a Diehard Packer fan for 45yrs but I'm throwing money at the hated Bears tomorrow. +3.5 is a stupid line.

#51st) should have never bet 20% roll, 40% points on one game.
2nd) shouldn't chase
(You probably heard the above already)
3rd) I have absolute zero ties to teams when I wager for/against them. If I am betting against my favorite team, I still root against them. I will even root for my most hated team if I am betting them to win. Betting with your head, and not your heart.Comment -

#11Ain't that the truth. I would root for the Al-Qaeda all-stars if I had them plus the points. Betting is our sport, the contest we choose to participate in. I would much rather me win than my team win, even if all I have on the game is a handful of SBR points. It comes from being driven by a competitive nature.Originally posted by LLXC1st)

#20I've still got about 700 left in the book. I can't believe I took such big hits from KU and Cuse at the same time. Both suffered embarrassing home losses to teams that had no business beating them at home. Nova wasn't playing very well and they had that bad loss to Tennessee while Cuse was playing in front of a record home crowd. KU had a 69 game home winning streak, had NEVER lost at home to Texas before, and lost by 11 despite opening the game on a 18-3 run.
I have to be more careful with Saturdays because I'm not always near a computer.Comment -

Every once in a while, I use the points to get into a shitty little SBR contest. But that's about it.
If somebody says something constructive, I'll donate a point to the poster.Comment -
