Tom Rodgers 1/20 App St @ The Citadel
I'm not saying that App St is a great team, but they're better than the Citadel. One key area for me is the FG% and we've got a 45% team versus a 40% team. App St is 7-1 SU against the Citadel recently and a 2.5 point spread should be easy for them to overcome. The RPI's are 192 vs 292, that's a 100 point difference. I've also got App St coming in with a 28% more efficient team when you compare the two on offensive and defensive stats. The Citadel is 2-8 ATS as an underdog vs. App St is 3-3 as a favorite, however, they are 5-2 ATS against conference opponents. The issue in the game will roll back to offense and the Citadel doesn't have much and once again I'm NOT saying I think App St is some sort of offensive powerhouse, but compared to the Citadel they can go and get it done tonight.
