i dont think these teams are necessarily offensively challenged but under looks like the play. mccamey/summers/lucas are all top offensive players in the big ten!

The under sounds like a good pick, MSU has finally reached the point in the season where Tom Izzo has to admit his team can't run and they'll start to emphasize defense and rebounding again. Illinois is a finesse team that only takes jumpshots and never gets to the free throw line. As for the line, MSU never wins @ Illinois, and this is a better than average Illinois team taking on a below average MSU team.

That was against teams that play really slow tempo basketball, utilizing the shot clock, and they were road games. Michigan St. shoots a lot quicker and doesn't always look for the best shot. Also, Illinois shoots very well at home, 53% from inside the arc and 44% beyond the arc. They also average 76.3 points at home.

Its the nature of the game, man. College ball is much more guard oriented than the NBA, where players don't like defending and there are lots of rules that encourage dribble driving.
