Tom Rodgers 1/17 Kansas @ Baylor
The matchup here can be followed perfectly. KU scores about 83 a game and Baylor nets about 73, defense has KU's opponents scoring 61 while Baylor lets 59 get in. This tells me is that defensively they both matchup and it's in the offense that seperates the two with KU winning that battle. Sure, they struggled against Nebraska, but did they win and aren't they entiled to a close call every now and then? KU's ranked number 1 in overall power, while the Bears are 101. Some past matchup trends are Baylor 1-4 ATS and 1-6 straight up when playing at home against Kansas. The bears may be 20-3 SU in its last 23 games at home, but it's the quality of the teams you play and the ones they've beaten aren't spectacular by any means. Whereas Florida State, Gonzaga, and Washington State came down to the Ferrell Center and took care of business as I expect the Jayhawks to do tonight. Kansas -3.5

I'll take the bears and the increasing amount of points. Baylor might even take it SU.

Unless you consider the 5-12 Prarie View Panthers a marquis win this season for Baylor then snowball's point stands.

Kansas shouldn't be higher than Duke. I have Duke as 2 points better in my power ratings

Gonzaga, FSU and Washington State were not play at Baylor. All 3 were in Texas but not at Baylor.

I didn't know that, however, even with that said, I'm still confident that the team playing in their home state vs teams that are 1000+ miles away can pull enough fan support to make it a home game. Also on the road and at home KU has got it done proven by their 0 losses this season. I just don't see Baylor strong enough to knockoff a top 10 team.. Can we see Baylor beating Duke, Ohio St, Villanova, Uconn, Syracuse, or Pittsburg? I don't see them hanging around with these rteams much less win.

One of the things you can't overlook is that Kansas has won the Big XII regular season title 6 times in a row, even when other teams were the trendier pick like K-State and Texas. Baylor has as much size and athleticism as anyone in the country outside Tallahassee, but they rarely play like a team because LaceDarius Dunn is such a ball hog. If Jared Sullinger goes higher in the draft than Perry Jones, he will have Dunn to thank for that.

That being said, familiarity breeds contempt when it comes to conference play. These two teams went to OT at Allen Fieldhouse last year and Baylor is going to be pumped playing on the first Big Monday of the year. They could possibly use the same blueprint vs. Kansas that FSU used to beat Duke at home last week.

Above all, I feel like the under is the play. I expect a fast-paced game with a lot of turnovers, poor shot selection, and missed FTs. Baylor comes by those things naturally, while Kansas tends to play down to their competition. First needing a questionable foul call with 0.3 seconds left to beat UCLA, then needing a heroic effort from Josh Selby in his first game to put away USC, then getting taken to OT by an ultra-young Michigan team that had no business of staying within 30 points of KU.

Its not over yet, but I'm feeling comfortable with my KU -3.5. Will Baylor have a better second half? Probably not.

KU up big...shooting atleast 80%? I've never seen so many layups & dunks in half court....is Baylor even trying? I played Over 141.5 pretty big....might have 80 at halftime and haven't had many Over-loving free throws either

Mr. Handicapable, I've often struggled with O/U picks. How's it been for you and do you have any tips or tricks?
