    ML parlays help?
I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to betting, so I thought i'd ask this question.

Is it a dumb idea to Parlay 2+ teams that are heavyish favorites? So for example, taking Illinois -8 (ML) and Washington ST -8 (ML)?

no, i think it a good way to make some small money to play off, then go bigger on straight wagers..... 'stay' away from the over and unders... they will ruin a good gambler.. good luck

I mean, if I take Villa and Illi tomorrow, it's -172. I'm just trying to work out if it's better to start with and build a balance is all.

If you feel confident enough in you bets and you've done your research, then regardless of how little money you make, it's still money you make. I do it sometimes, like today I'm going with a Cincy and Villanova parlay cause I couldn't get a read on the line, but all my research tells me these teams will win.

I am not usually a big fan of chalk ml parlays but as long as you don't start parlaying 5 of them together at -1000 each and betting the house on it like some people do then I see no problem. I generally find parlaying some small to medium ML favs with a -110 or two generally makes for a nice payout.
