I know they were under achievers last season. Guess the odds maker thinks they pull that same crap this year as well.

Illinois underachieved last year but they still beat Wisconsin on their home floor and then against in the B10 tourney on a neutral floor.

Illinois has better athletes, but Wisconsin plays well as a team and can give them trouble.. no bet on this one for me.

I still think in all honesty though we need to give Illinois more time before we go crazy with them. Just not the team we all thought they were gonna be right away, but still need to be given a chance

Home Team Advantage

I agree this line (ill -2) is too low! I coached college basketball at Butler in the late 80s. We would win at home by 10 and lose on the road by 12 to the same team. Same starting lineups each place. And it happened all of the time. So I went back in the summer and watched the videos of the games. The road team has to overcome 10-12 calls that the home team gets which included: 1. cheap fouls that get the home team to the line more often 2. balls that go out of bounds where the ball is given to the home team if there is ANY doubt who hit it last 3. cheap fouls not called on the home teams. I really believe it is a situation, especially with bad officials, that you don't want to get booed (human nature). I also went back and checked who the officials were for each game and tracked the home team wins with each official. I don't want to mention names, but there were some officiating teams, who if you had them at home, You had a great chance to win. The opposite on the road. Something to think about! I only play home teams!

I agree - I'm a Badger fan, but the road in the Big Ten is very dangerous.
