Steve Lavin is a terrible coach to back as a fav. His games are always close, b/c he is able to accrue talent with rigorous recruiting. But he is not an elite coahc, and is unable to coach his team to win by a wide margin, but he can lose a close game.

Nice call, the betting public see this game in there heart as a blow out because of recent history. West Virginia winning the previous 10 games vs St. Johns. These are two differnt teams, totally different. West Virginia isn't blowing anyone out of no-gym. St. Johns is pretty decent this year and they will keep it close.

WVirginia has several personal banged up also, game time decisions. Back up center ( 11 minutes per game ) Dan Jennings, also point guard Joe Mazzulla may not play at all.

If you held a gun to my head I'd take St. John's +10.. but it's the slightest of leans. I'm leaving this one alone... for now. May look deeper into St. John's +10 though... could be something there.
