    Georgetown Hoyas at Memphis Tigers
Memphis coach Josh Pastner lost three key guards off last year's team, leading scorer Williams (17.9) plus 10-point scorers Sallie and Mack. Still, Memphis opened 7-0 this season before losing at Madison Square Garden 81-68 to Kansas on Dec 7. Memphis has won twice since then but 6-9 forward Wesley Witherspoon (13.0-4.6) has had right knee surgery (out until at least mid-January) and 6-11 center Angel Garcia quit the team to play professionally in Spain. Tigers are now even younger than before. Three freshman started the last time and now just two non-freshman are making much of any contributions, the 6-9 Coleman (6.5-4.1) and guard Carmouche (9.3). The group of freshman contributing is impressive. Jackson (11.5-3.7 APG) leads the way along with Will Barton (11.4-4.4-2.7), Crawford (9.4), Antonio Barton (6.9) and Black (6.0-4.4). The last two wins have not come without struggles, trailing by 15 points in the second half vs Austin Peay before winning 70-68 in overtime and barely beating Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 68-63. Georgetown comes in 10-1, having only lost at Temple by three points. The senior backcourt duo of Freeman (18.5) and PG Wright (13.2-6.7 APG) get help from junior Clark (14.2-4.2) off the bench. There is little doubt that Georgetown would have been a MAJOR title contender with the 6-11 Monroe (16.1-9.6 LY) but with him in the NBA, the 6-9 Vaughn (8.9-6.7), the 6-7 Thompson (8.5-5.0) and the 6-10 Sims (5.0-4.0) will have to do on the frontline. The Hoyas have looked excellent this season (save that effort at Temple), shooting 52.5 percent as a team (42.5 on threes) while holding opponents tom 41.9 percent.

very tempted to bet G-Town but my numbers say the game is lined very well. Georgetown is a top 5 basketball team IMO. I can think of 2 teams that I think are legit better than they are. Should be a huge game for Memphis though, regardless of their lack of upperclassmen and depth

take the over and watch both teams try to outrun each other and IMO i think gtown's veteran leadership and talent allows them to win this game by more than the current line or even 6 or 7. should be a fun one watch.
