    penn state a pick..seriously?
i do not understand this line whatsoever...penn state is mediocre at best...being 5-0 at home is meaningless because they have played nobody and the crowd is never a factor... maryland is down but they competed against pitt and illinois...i assumed the line would be anywhere between md -5 to -8....is this a trap?...looks way too good to be true but if penn state wins i will be shocked...

Maryland has no confidence. Young players and no leadership from older ones. Jordan Williams can get 20 and 10 easily vs Penn St, but Cliff Tucker can just as easily get 10 turnovers. If Terps can play well early they can hang with most top teams. They are very poor at FT's and have no PG adept at running the flex offense. The young players on this team have talent, but are typical Gary Williams projects. Stoglin and Howard will be very good guards capable of helping MD win the ACC title in a few years, but now they are raw and take so many bad shots.

Terps should win this and PK shows they are the better, but I wouldn't play more than a unit here.

I'm a Penn State fan and can tell you I had no idea why the line was where it was. You are right, they are mediocre at best. Battle is a very good player but thats all they have. The crowd can't be a factor because if you have any idea where Penn State is located you'd know why. Penn State is in the middle of nowhere. How can you get fans to fill the arena on a Wednesday night at a 9:15? You can't.

Penn State hung for a little while but the game eventually went the way I thought it would. On a PSU basketball board I frequent maybe once a month, there were people setting the over/under on Big Ten Conference wins at 3.

Penn State does not take their basketball program seriously. If I wasn't such a homer I could have cashed in last night.
