they made a run in the NCAA tourney and now every square in the world wants them at any price.

This time last year if Butler was playing at Louisville, the Cardinals would have probably been favored by 10 and most of you would have taken Louisville -10 because who the fuk is Butler ?

Butler has played good out of conference ball for the past 4 years.

But this game is a complete abortion, and should not be used as a defining moment for Butlers past success.

Please they were never as good as people are making them out to be/ they are not as good as people are making them out to be. They dont deserve to be ranked thats for sure.

remember this was the team that most people were picking to get upset in the first round of the NCAA tourney last year, so no they werent that good.

They may have done well in their weak conference the last 4 years, but they werent ranked like they are now, and they sure were never just a 2 point dog at Louisville.

Im not saying they are horrible just that they are no where near as good as people want to make them out to be, and they arent.

This isn't a surprise, Butler has always struggled against legit competition. They lost to some pretty mediocre teams last year. To say Butler is awesome is a misnomer, but they're not exactly crap. They're basically a middle of the road major conference team.

they are a decent team for sure, but that NCAA run was them playing way way way over their head.

They got hot at the right time and the good teams took them lightly and also couldnt figure out how to approack Butlers defense.

Noone will take them lightly this year and teams have had 8 months to study that Defense and come up with a way to attack it.

I will agree with you that Butler is a good team but anyone who thinks they are anything close to as good as they appeared in the NCAA tourney is kidding themselves.

Louisville lost a ton of players, but they were opening up their new arena. I liked Butler too, but laid off. The line set to get people on Butler and it worked. Still a piss poor performance on their part.

Past Success ??? 5 games they won in the NCAA. Thats very good but you say past success like they have years of Success. Remember this team was picked by like 50% to LOSE to get UPSET in the first round of the NCAA tourney last year, so this is no annual powerhouse.

Now they're overrated ??? Yes some people talk like this team is a top 5 team -- THEY ARENT CLOSE. They came in last night ranked #16 in the nation, so yes they were and absolutly are overrated. This was never a top 20 team before that NCAA run and no matter how hard you jump on that bandwagon they arent a top 20 team now.

A last second shot away from winning does not make them a good bet this year, in fact it probably makes them a bad bet. You arent the only one who watched the tourney last year, millions did. Now every Tom Dick and Harry wants to jump all over butler regardless of what the line is. That causes Butlers numbers to be over inflated. Like I said before the game last night, if this game was played a year ago, Butler at Louisville, the Cardinals would have been favored by at least 10 and 99% of you would have been all over Louisville saying who the FUK IS BUTLER ????? Louisville will cover the 10 easily WHO THE FUK IS BUTLER ???
