What I usually have to do is click on the coin to give some pts, then the pop up just sits there and doesn't do anyting, but... if you then click on the "college hoops and hot babes" thread link to refresh the page, then when you go back to the refreshed link, you will see that your points were awarded. Let me know if it works for you, but that is how I keep giving out pts.
