I like the Spartans here.

The Gamecocks are young and graduated most of their scoring from last year. It's not clear to me where the points will come from this year. I'm not sure they'll deal well with the good strong man to man defense from the Spartans. And they're on the road.

I know 17 is a lot of points, but I'm backing the Spartans tonight.

As a USC fan, I'd really like to bet on my Gamecocks. Can anyone give me a good reason to do this? I agree with whoever said bet the under. USC does not have any real scorers but should give a good defensive effort.

I was wrong on this one. It seems to mean one of a couple of things...1. MSU isn't the 2nd best team in the contry or 2. Coach Horn and the Gamecocks are going to be better than I thought.

MSU hardly covers big spreads....it is just a trend that I have noticed. They sure get their wins though.

Coach Izzo is not a blowout/cover big spreads guy.

You need to find a team that has a head coach that is an asshole, and takes joy in running up the score. Aka Coach K/ Rick Barnes ...
