College Basketball is back baby! I love this time of year . Last year I posted my A-10 Conference Thread which finished 68-51-4 <+31.71 units> including the A-10 Tournament. This year, I'm doing things a bit differently. I'm starting right off the bat only capping the Xavier Musketeers until the conference season starts back up, in which I will once again cap the entire A-10 Conference. However, with that being said, follow at your own risk, especially during the out-of-conference season as there are WAY too many unknowns.

Western Michigan +14.5 (-110) <1.1 to win 1> Bookmaker

Part of me believes X covers this number, but losing their 2nd Exhibition Game to Bellarmine is troublesome. Our best forward (McLean) is out three to six weeks, our best three point shooter (Redford) is out for the year, and arguably our best incoming freshman (Martin) is not eligible to play this year. Thus, I just don't trust X to cover this big of a number, this early in the season. Once McLean is back, I'll feel much better about this team, but right now we could lose to just about anyone...

I don't see it. I will probably not bet it but I definitely have a strong Xavier lean in this one. I think Xavier wins by at least 25.

Key word is exhibition. I have never seen so much importance put into exhibition games in any sport but yet all of the suddenly everybody is using it as their prime NCAA M handicapping angle. What next people using the spring game to handicap colege football. Well Bob Gold (the first string) lost to black (the second string) therefore I am betting all my money against them in a real game.

I was wrong last time but I think Xavier gets it done against Iowa. I know Xavier is struggling but Iowa is horrible and I think Xavier can still win by double digits.

Iowa may be terrible, but X hasn't played well either. I believe we'll win tonight, but it's gonna be another close one. If we're struggling to beat WMU and IPFW at home, playing at a neutral site is not going to help us in the least. The only way X wins this by double digits is if we somehow start knocking down some outside shots and I just don't see that happening in the first game at a new venue...

Seton Hall's leading scorer, Jeremy Hazell, is out four to six weeks with a broken wrist, which he injured during their previous game against Alabama. 24 PPG is going to be awfully hard to replace, especially being they've only had a day to practice with him out of the lineup. I will gladly take the points in this one, as I predicted this line would be a pick-em with him in the lineup.

Xavier's lack of depth will finally catch up to them. Fatigue will definitely be a factor, but much more so from our standpoint. Holloway is an absolute beast, but without much help from the rest of the lineup, we've become one dimensional. I hate betting against X, especially with a game like this, but I just don't see us winning this one. However, if we do, I'll gladly take the loss
