I look around on SBR today and the whole forum is talking about " How could Uconn be +7?" And at first glance I thought the same thing, but after closer inspection I see that Pitt has beaten Uconn by a combined 28 points in their past 3 meetings. Pitt won by 10,10,and 8. This just seems to me that Pitt or better Yet Jamie Dixon has Uconn/Calhoun's number and yes I know the coaches will not be playing but to overlook this fact would be a novice move. Uconn is young and these freshmen have never experienced what Big East conference play is really like, well tonight they will get their first taste. Add to that the fact that Uconn is still undefeated, which brings a whole different level of pressure to a young team, who is about to start a schedule in the most rugged conference in the nation. Plus this game is at one of the most inhospitable places in the nation. The stats are comparable but the rebounding advantage lies with the Panthers. Pitt is a veteran team who already slipped up at home once, it will not happen again. Plus the public is all over Uconn. All of these factors make Pitt my play. I will be waiting to get the best number possible but no matter what I like Pitt. tonight. BOL

Pitt is 7-0 vs. top-5 ranked teams in the Petersen Events Center.

Uconn are giving 6 Freshman big minutes this year and they're relatively a one man team.

Kemba Walker will be the best player on the floor tonight...but if he gets in foul trouble this game will turn ugly.

You can also look into the poor scheduling here as well. UConn playing a couple of cupcakes then heading over to Maui on a neutral site, then right over to in the Big East @ Pittsburgh.

Wouldn't suprise me if UConn is unprepared for tonight's game. Just my two cents, good luck!

Michigan +5 Bought hook just in case. Purdue is 2-5 su in Big 10 openers and Michigan is much improved. Purdue has had a pretty long break even from practice so I expect a little rust. Plus playing at Michigan is not an easy task. Purdue is very capable of blowing this game open but I don't think they will. Michigan is looking to make some noise in the Big 10 and it starts this afternoon against the Boilermakers.
