I'd say Illinois -22 is the best pick, too. I'd consider Texas -26 also because Texas tends to like to run up the score on bad teams.

Nah im staying off of Texas for awhile. I would like to see if there gonna mold or not. Good talent but shitty coach. Im gonna wait and see with Texas . Illinois will end up playing Texas eventually and we will get a chance to see how good Illinois is against an overrated Texas team

FYI Illinois now at -21.5....Definitely playing it but might hold off and see if we can get it at -20ish as can see this line coming in a little more (being 1st game of season and all)....GL

19.5 would be a sick number to get it down to IMO

I don't see why everyone is so in love with Illinois. They massively faded down the stretch last year. Virtually have the same team back. They turned the ball over 43 times in their two exhibition games and looked like shit. No way am I laying 3 td's with this team no matter who they are playing.

I would be careful with Illinois here. There is no bigger Illini fan than myself but they did not look like a top 25 team in their two exhibitions. I honestly think this team tends to play down to its competition and has trouble blowing anyone out (see their recent games against Lewis and Southern Indiana). Just my $0.02

guys be careful with Illinois. UC Irvine plays at a pretty slow pace and 22 is alot to lay with an Illinois team that probably won't be running and gunning with two bigs like Tisdale and Davis? (not fully sure on names but both are 6'10+)

I agree with the guys who bring up the Ill exhibition games. I have them winning by right around that 20 pt number - no play for me.

                              I like Pitt -11 a lot better.

I'm not so sure about Irvine continuing its former offensive scheme. I guess new head coach Russell Turner is likely going to have to ease into any changes because of the personnel he was left with, and I fully expect his teams to be very, very defensive-minded in the future. But the Illini simply blew out all non-conference foes at Assembly Hall. I wouldn't be surprised to see all four big favorites opening this 2K Sports Classic bit tonight to cover. Pitt definitely got the toughest opening opponent of the four, but still like the Panthers to cover.
