Xavier gets 2 HUGE ESPN 100 COMMITS

The Musketeers are on the move and there recruiting class just got a hole lot stronger for the class of 2011. They have 4 high profile commits and 2 of the 4 so far are top 100 recruits with the addition of Michael Chandler today. Chandler is the #4 center in the class of 2011 and is 6'10 225lb. Dezmine Wells had already committed and is the #10 Small Forward who is 6'5 220lbs. They also have Darwin Davis who is the #27 Point Guard and Jalen Reynolds who is the #19 Power Forward. Thats an amazing class of players already .


But then fast forward to the class of 2012 Super 60 players and they have a commit already from D'Vaunte Smith Rivera the #7 Shooting Guard in the country for the class of 2012 and are chasing 5 other SUPER 60 players currently.

The Musketeers have a great facility though and thats gonna help them draw in the recruits with there strong tradition of basketball

A few things to add here- Chandler might might fall back into the 2012 class as he has questionable grades at the moment. Also, with the injury to Brad Redford (torn ACL), it might have an adverse effect on the 2012 recruiting. If he stays for a 5th year (his 4th of eligibility), Xavier can't pick up any other recruits for the class unless someone else transfers/leaves early. I've heard rumblings on one of the message boards that X might land another high profile recruit soon. It's probably just because of a tweet between Smith-Rivera and Rodney Purvis, who is a top 10 recruit in the 2012 class. Another possible addition is Kyle Anderson (#5 2012 recruit per Rivals), who is visiting this coming weekend. If either recruit is landed and Chandler reclassifies as a 2012 recruit, X would easily have a top 5 class. Too bad it's 2 years away...
