I hope Kansas and Kansas St. come to the big east. The big east needs to be buyers in all of this otherwise the basketball only schools like my pride and joy (Marquette) are back to mid major status. That would be a huge blow that I really do not want to see.

ehhh I dunno man I think the Big East would be fine with out football. I no the revenue wouldnt be there nearly as much but they already have themselves solidified in the college basketball world. I have a hard time seeing them crashing completely. Im sure they will always have tv contracts with ESPN

Wva -- solid football school... replaces nebraska... solid basketball... doesn't matter if they travel 6 hours to NY or 6 hours to Tex.
Memphis -- basketball power.... has a ways to go with football but also spreads the Big 12 out a little

I certainly hope you are correct. Losing the football schools like UofL, Uconn, Pitt, Cincy, Cuse, Nova (if they make the jump) would make the Big East more of a mid major. With perennial powers of just Gtown left. Hopefully the Big "12" stays now and no other conferences decided to raid the Big East.
