By Request here is my write up on the Colonial Athletic Association 2010-2011 BBALL
I noticed that a lot of forumers on this forum like this conference just in General. Good basketball, good action , and a gem of talent in the league. Always a lot of arguements going on about this conference which makes it a great league to track. I have 2 sleepers in this Conference and I will PM the sleepers on request through a PM.

    Old Dominion
    William @ Mary
    Virginia Commonwealth
    Towson
    Northeastern
    North Carolina Wilmington
    James Madison
    Hofstra
    Georgia State
    George Mason
    Drexel
    Delaware

Lets start off with the Champs the Old Dominion Monarchs.

Players graduated 1----- Gerald Lee ( STAR PLAYER )

Returning 4 of the 5 Starters

Beat Notre Dame in Round 1 of NCAA

    Elite Defensive Team

Recruits 2 both with scout ratings of 86. Could be important bench players

    Virginia Commonwealth

Best Recruiting class in the Colonial

Graduated 2 bench seniors and lost LARRY SANDERS to NBA (STAR PLAYER)

Return 4 starters , Key players to watch Joey Rodriquez at the PG and Brandon Rozell the team 3 point shooter

Will be a talented squad in the 2010-2011 Campaign.

William @ Mary (Hit or Blow team)

Graduated 3 seniors whom started. Lose there Spark player in Danny Sumner, team Captain David Schneider and Sean McCurdy a key provider in helping them through droughts.

Return there big man Marcus Kitts for his Senior Campaign will step his game up .

Recruits coming in 4. Watch out for Fred Heldring who comes from New Trier High School in my neck of the woods and Tim Rushoven both big men from the Chicagoland area. New Trier is a powerhouse school at all sports and Wheaton Academy plays some of the best teams in the state.

    Both could be impact players

Towson will be returning every player on the team except 2. Problem being they both led the team in points with 10 and 11 points a game respectivly. This is a very team oriented team though and they love passing the ball around and sharing it. This team could have a break out season and suprise people.

Recruits coming in 2 (Center who is 6'11 with a rather low rating at 84 decent)But could help this team in the post dramatically

Hostra underwent a coaching change but I do not think this will effect the team. They return there star player in Charles Jenkins who a lot of people came familiar with. Averaging 21 points a game. They also return the 2 and 3 scorers on the team.

Recruting class 2 players (Low level players will not impact team )

North Carolina Wilmington return there star players and graduates 3 seniors who werent impact players for the squad. This has gotta be one of the lankier teams in the country though. This team has some size on it and could make an interesting case.

    recruits coming in 2

Still not convinced this team will get it done though

Delaware did not graduate any players and is one of the youngest teams in the country. They recently fired there coach and will have a new coach coaching the squad this fall. They have a very solid group of raw talent and a excellent recruit coming into play with them. This team could easily mold into a contender in the league. They went 3-15 in the CAA last year.

    Recruits 3

James Madison will be fighting to move up finishing 4-14 in the CAA. They return there top two players though

recruits 3 (1 Impact player) They have a player named Chad Jackson coming to play who turned down the likes or Northern Iowa the MVC power,Morehead State a power in the OVC and EKU a contender in the OVC

Georgia State is gonna be in deep shit next year. They graduated basically every single player on the team

recruits coming in 5 ( They did do a good job recruiting the talent that they could get a hold of though. This team wont be able to mold next year though.

    Northeastern

Key wins over UTAH STATE,Wright STATE,Southern Methodist, and Kent State.

Return 1 out of the 5 starters. Lose there STAR PLAYER Matt Janning

recruits 3 (1 impact player) 6'10 Center Ryan Pierson 230lbs

Will be in a rebuilding year and move down in the CAA

Drexel will be returning all there star players and look to be a contender in the CAA.

Recruits 2 both of whom will be impact players for a team like Drexel looking to move into the upper tier of the CAA. Drexel will look to turn heads this year. The finisihed 6th in the CAA and can make an agrument to be in the 4 or 5 spot.

George Mason returns every single starter and will be a more experienced team in the following season. They are a young team full of sophmores now ready to compete in the CAA. They were a young team last year you could tell by the way they played but should be able to hold onto the ball better and become a force.

recruits 2 ( BOTH will be IMPACTS for this team)

Should finish in the 2 or 3 spots and have an arguement to even win the CAA.

here is my take on the conference finishing up

    1.Old Dominion
    2.Virginia Commonwealth
    3.George Mason
    4.Hofstra
    5.Drexel
    6.Delaware
    7.William @ Mary
    8.North Carolina Wilmington
    9.James Madison
    10.Northeastern
    11.Towson
    12.Georgia State

Good write-up, I haven't even thought about capping college hoops yet because if I do I'll be counting down the days until it starts up.

thanks buddy. identifying the fades is often more profitable than trying to identifying the
best teams, especially in the beginning of the year. I hope this thread is near the top come October
we all have to remember to FADE Georgia State and I bet the books won't catch on until it's too late for them.
