lol this rematch will surely not be as exciting as the national championship and no where near as similar - duke is going to be a totally different team than the one from last year, in almost every aspect. their defensive sets change back to press and they will have 3 new starters and become more of a fast-paced team. i look for duke to take this one easily; they always seem to play well in the New Jersey / new york regular season games in front of alumniComment -

If Duke doesn't win this game by 20 I'll be shocked.
Duke's slower more deliberate pace played right into Butler's hands last season, and while that game could have gone either way, what Butler lost will be more detrimental than what Duke did.
Butler will be basically the same team coming back, minus Hayward, the heart of that team.
Duke will be different. They won't have the slow and plodding Zoubek, or the offensively inconsistent Lance Thomas. The Plumlee brothers are faster/more agile, and Mason is going to be a force offensively.
Scheyer's shooting/passing/penetration will be replaced, and then some, with the additions of Irving/Steph Curry's brother.
By the time Butler adjusts to Duke's new tempo, they'll already be down 15 pts.
The only thing that could possibly save Butler is how the game is officiated. If the game gets a Big-12/Big-10/Big-East crew, and the game is allowed to get real physical, I think Butler could win. I think they'll want it more than the Duke kids just because of the vengence angle. And Duke's two most physical players from last year, Thomas/Zoubek, will be gone. But if it's an ACC crew, or SEC crew, or Pac-10 crew, and the game is allowed to get fast and up-tempo without a whole lot of grinding, I just don't see how Butler will keep up. And Duke is going to have 3-4 guys on the court at all times than can drain threes. Nolan Smith, Dawkins, Curry, Singler, and Irving can all shoot the lights out.
It'd make for a good story if Butler won, but when was the last time Duke allowed for a good story to happen against them? Isn't this why eveybody hates Duke in the first place?No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.Comment -

I must say... Duke will probably be twice as good this year as they were last year. ...but they won't be as lucky, and thus won't win another championship. Butler will be about the same I think, but I still think they'll get killed by Duke.Comment -

Duke will be a totally different team this season. Coach K is changing the way this team will play based on Irving running the point. You will see a much faster Duke team verus the grind it out team of last year.
