Capri5421, St. Johns hires there new HC
The deal will be final by sundown. St Johns hires Steve Lavin to five year deal. The X, UCLA head coach also working for the giant ESPN.
Also wouldn't you know in 2011 and 2012, St. Johns has A home and home with UCLA. As A huge St. Johns homer I hope this get's this sleeping giant going in the right direction. Let's go RED STORM.

while i'm thrilled for St John's, the real losers in this one are hoops fans. hear me out. there is nothing funnier - NOTHING - than Lavin breaking Musberger's balls about gambling during Big Ten telecasts. Not even Raftery makes me laugh that hard.

Lavin is the man, and from time to time comes on as a guest on a local Las Vegas Radio Show.

He can recruit, and coach. I happy for him getting the job, he deserves another chance as a HC

Houlihan, your 100% right he is A very good recruiter. He's in the right place to get some player's. I'm so happy today. My brother went there, in 1979-1982. Played Division 3 football, they did away with football A few years ago.

I like this---I live in State College, Pa. and was pissed when Penn St. had the chance to hire him a few years ago and they passed. This will make the Beast East even better.
