I was having a great week up 22+ units heading into yesterday, just unloaded on Baylor at halftime which did me in and typically I am a dog play therefore as you put it with dogs doing well, I too was doing well up until that Baylor game. New week now though, time to actually finish off a week instead of starting strong and tailing off towards the end like last week. Good luck today.Comment -

Hey buddy, sorry for the delayed response. As I said earlier in here my initial lean was to the under but I wasn't wild about it at 131 so I am especially not will about it since the drop to 129. IMO if this was just a regular game I would have jumped on the under at the opening number but since its a tourney game and the clubs have had adequate preparation time, I am just going to pass on the total but if I had to play it I guess I would go under because I expect St Louis to struggle offensively tonight.Comment -

I know you are not a trends, hardcore stats kind of guy, but some of the stats I found are very unkind to your/our Denver/Dallas OVER play (I tailed your play, then do my homework after booked it

- As road dog from 3.5 to 6, 2-3 O-U
- In road game 15-23 O-U
- In road game where total are between 205 to 209.5, 3-8 O-U
- When play B2B 11-8
Denver avg. last 5 games are 98.8, Dallas 99.6
You always emphasis about a team recent form......Denver only score 104 against NYK in the last 8 games or so.
I feel Dantley has been playing a slower pace than Karl, and lastly this is the 5th games road trip and a B2B game......do you think there's some gas left in that tank?Comment -

Yeah I did mention that in my write-up that this play goes against the trends but I have liked the way the Nuggets have performed in similar spots this season as the one that presents itself tonight. I am also aware that these 2 clubs have not been lighting it up as of late illustrated in their below average PPG the past 5 but feel this is a good spot for the Nuggets and I don't just expect the Mavs to lay down so this should be a good, competitive game that should produce some scoring. As for being tired due to it being B2B and the long road road trip, I actually feels this helps the over play with a team like the Nuggets; their defense will lack and feel they will exert most of their energy on the offensive end. I realize its against the trends, but sometimes you just gotta go against them if you like a play.

I booked the play, considered it done.
Now, I do have couple questions.
1. When you mentioned B2B somewhat helping the OVER since there will be less on defensive end, but is that at the same token, players would be tied, couldn't run up and down as much as when they fully energized, OR shooting percent could be dropping due to exhaustion, especially a team that do a lot of jump shoot?
2. 5dimes have total 209.5, with team total Denver 102 and Dallas 107. .5 point different from being OVER.....it didn't mean anything right?

First off, running up and down the court should never be affected because of a player's fatigue, these are pro athletes, heck I haven't laced them up in over a year and threw on a few extra LBS and I could still get up and down the ice and make it through a game. When I look at the fatigue factor when it comes to basketball I really only look at it as affecting jump shots because of tired legs, anyone that has played a b2b in basketball or even played a 3 on 3 tourney where you're playing your 4th game of the day, knows that your legs are needed most when it comes to knocking down the jumper. As for mental fatigue, the Mavs don't exactly play stout defense regardless if they are at home or not so I don't think there is much to worry about in that department and think you will see a lot of easy layups.
As for the 1/2 point difference in TT totals and the overall spread I couldn't really tell ya because I rarely even look to the right for TT totals, I just don't even factor that into a play. And a 1/2 point IMO does not constitute enough to grow concern over, now a couple of points then maybe a red flag, but just 1/2 point does not have me over thinking.

good call on this one at -6 VA Com -170 and won 50...What makes you lean on the under for VCU/st. louis? VCU has put up big points lately, i know st. louie like to play a slow paced game but with VCU at home i think they'll dictate the tempo of this game, force st. louie to take a lot of shots, and ultimately blow them out. just MHO.

Hey Ice keep your head up, you'll have a winning week just don't press your one of the best cappers on here keep doing your thing. Denver has been screwing everybody the past two weeks. I'm gonna be looking at your plays big time the rest of the week because I think your gonna come back in a big way. I know how it feels when you go on a little losing streak believe me been there so I just wanted to say let it roll off your shoulders and keep doing your thing.
