Stats don't mean squat in the tourney, especially this far in. Just ask all the other big teams that fell so far, ie..Kansas, Syracuse,Kentucky...

I think Duke is better team, but I don't think that is the reason. Stronger chemistry, excellent scoring, and Coach K - game looks very even matched so far though.

Score may be about even but Baylor is much more athletic and stronger inside. They are good enough to guard Duke on the perimeter. Duke in foul trouble early. I think this is a great start for Baylor.

Stats have no bias. Are there deviations from the norm, yes - absolutely, but when a team does something extraordinary well, it's expected to continue. It's a reason why Ken Pomeroy and J. Sagarin are good at what they do (and why every baseball team now employes Bill James' like statisticians). Oh and I did not have Syracuse and Kentucky in the Final Four (Kansas burned me though )
