gambling rules i set for my self.
    gambling rules

never place two bets on one game in a parlay. (e.g. don't take the spread and the o/u)

don't bet road favs on b2b.

usually don't bet with the public, unless it's a good team playing an awful team.(rule doesn't apply always.)

on high spreads, if the public is betting on the dog to cover it will usually go the other way.

2h bets will either go over if the line seems low for that team. normally on a high spread take the losing team as the winning team tends to relax with a big lead. if the game is close take the better team as they will want to blow up the scoring in the second half.

if total starts to drop take under. if it goes up take the over.

never bet games with your teams in them, unless you are sure, sure, sure.

    any thoughts?

i really don't have much input on the 2h betting as i usually dont do that.. the rest sounds good tho, i usually dont bet same game parlays either but yesterday i put michigan state -1 and under 122 and that cashed for me... i do bet on my teams quite often, even if it is against them..i just put my money where i think it has the best chance to win even if it might be against my team..in a situation like that its a win win, if my team fails to cover i win $$ and if they make me lose $$ then at least they win lol....for the most part i like those rules, there are exceptions to the rules tho..

Nice rules, only one I would disagree with is the one I boldface, when I parlay (don't play these often) it always involves both the spread and total in a particular game so if I have a 4 teamer it will only consist of 2 games, 2 spreads and 2 totals in just 2 different games. I find it easier and it gives you a better chance because more times than not if you really like a side you can predict the pace and scoring output, total, so you increase your chances of hitting it. Plus it saves time and energy that you can put into just capping 1 game for a 2 teamer or 2 games for a 4 teamer.

I hate taking the side & total in a game myself.

On the 2H plays, you just have to play with your gut. But if a game total is set at say 147. The first half they don't score but 51 points. Well, the 2H line will be something like 76. Your first instinct is to say how the hell are these 2 teams gonna score 25 more points than they did the first half as sorry as they are shooting. But, that is 20 points different than the game line. Honestly, how many games are under or over 20 points of the line? Very fukin few!!! It happens all the time and is easy money. Look for 2 teams who come out playing like they are hungover & dont score shit, then pound the 2H line.

Same goes for an over. A good example from just the other day was UT & OSU. They scored lights out 1H. 80 some points. So they made the 2H line 81 or 82, I cant remember. 17 or 18 points over the game total. I had over for the game, had no doubt that would happen, but took under on 2H. Easy money.

I'm not saying it's 100%, but I've cashed on alot of them this month. You will make money. 17-22 point difference is the key

That's why I always play whole game and then look for a middle where I can find one on the 2H

I've had some unbelievable middles, even when the drop in was 1 or 2 points, so I always take the full game line into consideration

exactly. sometimes i cant even believe books allow this. my favorite thing was taking like +8.5 1H dogs with an under of like 65.5 this NCAA season. parlaying those together and just hoping the big home favorite comes out sluggish. happened a lot. many many 30-26 halftimes for parlay winners this season
