Last-minute reminder for those of you backing Duke big tonight
Duke hasn't beaten a 1-4 seed in nine years.
The end.

But they've covered both games played in this tournament

Duke hasn't been challenged in this tournament yet. Purdue will be their first real contest.
Remember how Duke fared in the ACC tournament? They couldn't cover spreads, although they won SU.
I lean Purdue +8.5 here.

Taking duke ML here 8 units (or a tad over 2k) here, usually wager spreads and think duke can make the spread but playing it as safe as possible this tourney...BOL all.....

You're taking it "safe as possible" by backing a team that's been past this round once since '02 and hasn't beaten a 1-4 seed in nine years?
I think Duke wins, but I believe you'll be sweating this one out.

This is a much better Duke team than the ones of recent past IMO.

You don't know how many times I've heard that through the years.

What can i say, stats are just that, stats. Its up to the individual to interpret weight of claim to them. Who knows though, maybe the past will come back to haunt duke and they implode once again, but statistically speaking its not significant enough for me to warrant a change of mind....GL though....

Like I said, I think Duke wins -- just not by the 8.5.
