Saint Mary's vs. Baylor OVER 142
Here is another game I like with the over. 142 points seems way too low as I expect another game with some fouling at the end. This late in the tournament we can expect to see some games that look like they are going under end up going over.

Much like the Kansas State vs. Xavier game last night that at one point looked like it was going to fall 35 points short of the total of 151. All the fouling and late points brought it within 7 by the end of regulation. This is another game that should be close throughout and thus I expect to see fouling at the end and a lot of points scored late. If that happens, the over 142 is a virtual shoe in.

However, I am not counting on late points. I think the 142 is too low even without late fouling and this game should be at 142 even before the 2 minute mark when traditional fouling begins. Both teams will run up and down and both teams are packed with scoring threats.

The Baylor bears bring Lacedarius Dunn who puts in almost 20 points per game and Ekpe Udoh who adds another 14. Tweety Carter scores 15.1 PPG and Quincy Acy is averaging almost 10. St. Mary's on the other hand starts 5 players who all average double digits.

Omar Samhan with 21.5 points per game, Mickey m with 14 PPG, Matthew Dellavedora with 12.3, Wayne Hunter with 11 PPG, and Ben Allen with 10.5. The Gaels also bring a good deal of scoring punch in off the bench. The first two guys in from the bench, Clint Steindl scores 7 ppg and Tim Harris with 6.5. It is not hard to see why the Gaels averaged 80 points per game during the year, making them one of the highest scoring teams in division 1.

Both teams also have big men under the basket who will get their fair share of offensive rebound put backs for some extra points off missed buckets. The Gaels Samhan averages 11 Rebounds per game with 8 points per game off of offensive rebounds ( second chance points ). Baylor's Udoh gets 9.7 RPG and about the same second chance points.

The Gaels have not been shut down really by any defense this year. In fact, they scored 80+ points in 2 of their 3 games against a Gonzaga team that pretty much held every opponent in the 50's. The Gaels on the year scored 80 PPG while giving up 67 PPG. The Baylor Bears on the other hand scored 77 PPG while giving up 66 PPG.

So we have here two teams that both ranked amongst the highest scoring teams in College Basketball, both near 80 PPG. These are two teams who dont really win by playing great D, they win by scoring and I think they both have far too many scoring threats on the court for the other team to shut them down. Neither of these teams are 1 or 2 dimensional offenses.

I think here we have a run and gun game as both teams obviously havent played in a few days, so they arent tired. I think we will see a fast pace game, a good deal of second chance points, and a close game which likely equals fouling at the end.

I love the over 142 here.

    Good Luck on all plays.

Only total I really don't have a strong lean either way but if I had to pick it, I would lean to the over as well. Good luck with the play.
