    West Virginia & Washington
I am a die hard huskies fan. I just want to know if anyone on the outside looking in with no bias that watched the game thought that the refs played any part in the outcome. momentum wise or just bad calls? I hate to blame it on officiating but I thought that the 50/50 calls that could have gone either way all went to WVU. I feel like both of the charges on Quincy Pondexter were blocks +4 FT's and also the one that baffled me was in the first half when thomas drove to the hoop Flowers was trying to set a charge but changed his mind and threw a shoulder into a driving thomas causing him to miss the layup +2pts. I really thought they took us out of the game. Any thoughts?

maybe it was getting outrebounded but i feel like everytime the momentum would come back to Washington there was another foul call that ruined it. And also i never think a game should have 5+ offensive fouls and 1 blocking foul on an attempt to draw a charge. Maybe im just bitter haha but let me know what you think.......

far as the Pondexter charges go i think the 1st was a block but the second one was on him no doubt.....like most these games i saw shitty calls both ways, possibly WVU got a few more but honestly dont think it would have changed anything, wvu was a bad match up for them if they played again wouldnt be much different.....they did call a real questionable chage on wvu point guard as well, like i said refs suck you wanna see favoritism wait until msu plays tonight those fuks do whatever they want

i just feel like pondexter was soft the whole second half because the only 3 plays that he was invovled in, in the first half were foul calls. I just think it's terrible when refs guess instead of make the correct calls. The one call that killed me as well was when they called a foul on the jump shot but neither of the officials near the play called it. The official under the basket behind the play and 6 players called it.

I didn't watch that much of the WVU/Wash game but the majority of games I have watched this year in the tourney to this point the officials played some part in helping the outcome, whether its a late no call one way or them actually making a call to set up the chance for the team, its been noticeable to me. The worst were the first two days when the big dogs were struggling, like Robert Morris and Wofford not getting any calls down the stretch and their opponents getting almost every call. The worst by far was Robert Morris IMO, there was just no way the officials were going to let them have that win, it was really a shame.

The game was terribly officiated, both ways. I can think of numerous calls that WVU didn't get in the 2nd half, where I just threw my arms up. I'm not sure the refs were favoring a side so much, as they just suck.

Or course, compared to normal Big East conference games, last night's game would have been the best officiated game all year. The BE conference has the worse set of basketball officials I've ever seen, on any level.

                2dabank,

It's been that way for years. I started noticing/keeping track the last 3-4 years.
