The bad news for URI is that the crowd Monday night is not likely to be big. Students are on spring break.

Babbitt, who also is an Academic All-American, is eighth in the country in scoring, at 22 points a game. He averages over nine rebounds and is a 90 percent free-throw shooter. The 6-foot-9 lefty is only a sophomore, but is mentioned as a possible early entrant into the NBA Draft this year. To that point, nine NBA scouts have asked for credentials to be at the Ryan Center Monday night.

Why not Fairfield ? They almost beat Siena and made the tournament.
They have a good coach and talent. Creighton is no big shakes.

Morehead is another high quality team. They played a tougher schedule than Boston University.

And Princeton was a cash cow this year.

i'm actually a little more impressed with boston's schedule and their play the last part of the season, i didn't see it but their 18pt win over orst looks impressive, going to be a big play for me

also think CoC can stick with VCU as well, VCU heavy favorite of course but CoC can hang in with the better teams, Wof, Dav... but they're definitely not the most consistent so probably just a small play here as VCU did their job for me the other night

i guess i disagree with a couple of you guys on the Morehead State / BU game.
i actually thought Morehead was one of the strongest plays. Morehead was good to me this year.

My top play is KENT ST +8, and the OVER 134 on that game. Each team should put up 70, both teams have been high scoring lately.

URI is my alma mater. Students are on Spring Break. Expect to see a half-full Ryan Center.Fact is, Rams let us down. They had one of the best chances to make the NCAA they didn't even have to win the A-10. This Rhody team is a letdown. I don't think it's coach Baron, although I believe he is not a defensive-minded coach. The smart players like Martell just aren't talented enough, and the talented players just aren't consistent enough. Babbit is young (sophomore) but he's a viper. He will get his baskets. Like Baron said the object is to score more points than Nevada does. So a victory will depend on RI's shooting %. I would feel uncomfortable laying 8 vs. Nevada so will take the Wolfpack. All nine NBA scouts going are there to see Babbit and only Babbit.
