Michigan St/Maryland Talk

I have noticed that the majority is backing the Terps in this spot, but I just cannot figure out why there is so much love from the board for them today. Out of all the posts backing the Terps, the only reason I came across was that St should have lost in the first round to NMST so they will lose today. I'm not going to change my play on Michigan State because I have a handful of reasons why I like them here but just wanted some reasons why every one likes Maryland so much in this spot? I understand the A&M love from the board and there were some quality reasons behind it but have not seen any reasons posted to why Maryland is such a solid play.

I guess just looking for someone to pitch Maryland to me in case I may have overlooked something when capping it, which I clearly have the advantage going to Michigan State.

Just looking for feedback, if you're on Maryland and have a second, would appreciate a quick post providing reasoning.

Sorry Ice - haven't decided yet, but I feel a lean toward MSU. I think alot of the Maryland love is based on no respect for the Big Ten.

Yeah that could be an angle, kind of looking for stats or overwhelming trends that may not have been listed on my sites that I may have missed.

I don't think MSU is as good as people think they are. The only problem is Izzo is a great coach in the tournament and they usually win these close games.

Vazquez (who i hate) i think has this team on a mission, really like the freshman Williams as well if that big boy bangs down low with mich st i really like my chances as the only real adv i see for mich st is rebounding and Izzo....think Mary offense will be to much down the stretch as i dont trust anyone on mich st to come through in crunch time....you know me this doesnt got anything to do with last game as hell i liked NMst all year and had them in several brackets to win that game (which they should have, not even bitching about refs here, it there own fault as they missed tons of free throws) and Mary had a easy matchup with hou....not a big-10 hater and honestly think for the most part big-10 getting as much respect as acc this year, if anything i think acc is a little undervalued -Wake lets face it they shouldnt have been here

Thanks Banker for the solid feedback, only post I have come across yet from a Terps backer that has some sound reasoning to the play and also how you like some on the individual match-ups for Maryland.

Okay, going to watch games, good luck Terps backers, one of us will get a winner out of that game.

I think MSU sometimes finds itself offensively challenged. Who are you going to go to in crunch time? Lucas has been hit or miss and they are all playing pretty banged up with nagging injuries. Izzo and the refs are the only thing stopping me from hammering Maryland.

I'm not even worried about the offensive end, feel their strong defense will lead to run outs and they'll hit enough shots to take this one IMO. Maryland has been average at best in away/neutral situations all season and feel their offense will have a rough time today.
