    I lost it all in Vegas
    pac-10 hoops get no respect from the ncaa now. but for any real pac-10 fan, cal's upset over l'ville was easy to predict. i went big on cal money line and put cal in all my parlays (mizzou, duke, kansas state, syracuse). i thought cal was such easy money that the same situation was going to happen again with byu (the mountain west gets no respect).

                                          byu was basically an additional leg of a parlay. but i couldn't wager it as part of a bigger parlay because it was a 2nd round match-up. so i just rolled over the winnings onto byu and call it a "manual parlay." had byu come through i would be taking cornell for a big bet tomorrow (although for less than 44k similar to hedging the final leg of a parlay).

                                                          that was all my college basketball money. i treat each sport (nfl, cfb, cbb, nba, mlb) separately since they each have different betting strategies/angles. i start the season with somewhere around a few thousand. then i go big on the playoffs/finals/tournament/etc. any leftover money is put into a general fund to start each sports bankroll at the beginning of the next season. so i'm done with cbb for 2010.

                                                              I am the total opposite, I don't bet playoffs for any sport, and go light on the NCAA Tournament.

                                                                                                                          so standard. my cornell pick was spot on. basically, i lost 20k on byu and then lost another ~20k on money i would have had on cornell. so byu cost me about 40k. maybe the ivies will start to get some respect now that i'm knocked out of college basketball. it's too late for me now boys
