"Vegas" just wanted equal $$ on both sides of this matchup tonight. "Vegas" was not predicting the score.

Yeah, but they would have probably gotten equal money if they had OSU -20 or -15. But to come this close is unreal, especially for college. I could see if it was the NBA.
Those guys are good...

They just crunch the stats and throw up a line no magic to it.

its not that hard........most lines you come up with in your head before lines come out should usually be within 2 pts of the vegas spread........

If I made lines for every game every night I would hit them perfect too sometimes. Nothing to see here.

They throw a # out there that make you sweat a little, and feel uncomfortable, a might nervous, second guessing everything you thought was right with the world. If the score happens to land on that # it's called a coincidence

well of course the players are aware of what the spread is. don't you think that may have a conscious or subconscience effect on the outcome of games?

In a word, absolutely. Players like to know what they are favored by and when they see that number consciously they feel they are better than that team by some margin in that ballpark and try and perform many times accordingly.

When it comes to the favorite hitting or missing free throws, and / or the dog hitting or missing "3's" late in the game... you KNOW Vegas guys are laughing their asses off....

Even in a bad economy and the collapse of your financial system, they still managed to build bigger and better casinos. As a wise man always try to remind me, don't try to beat Vegas, join them.

If vegas was always that close everyone should just bet teasers and they would hit every time don't you think? You're getting an extra 8 points either way you want so if you think they are right on every game just bet teasers. You will find out they aren't RIGHT ON every time

It's not vegas anymore, it's the linemakers and the market.
