A California team whose recruiting hotbed is Australia? Meet St. Mary's.
The Gaels (26-5) are here in Providence, traveling as much as any team in the ncaa tournament field. The 2,500-mile trip isn't fun, but it's not as far as a journey from Queensland or Victoria in Australia. This St. Mary's team has three starters from Australia in 6-foot-11 Ben Allen and shooters Matthew Dellavedova and Clint Steindl. Jorden Page and Mitchell Young come off the bench.

Doesn't help that Richmond is fouling like it's going out of style. Even without Samham dominating, you can't win when the other team gets 3 times as many free throw attempts and hits them at a high rate. Oh well, Richmond was my crazy Elite 8 pick because I just didn't like Villanova in that part of the bracket. What a shocker that I suck.
