There is a kid on the BYU team named Charles Abou #1, he played high school basketball with my son and I coached him in a competitive league as an 8th grader. At least root for him.

he was a soccer player and had only played basketball one year and nobody wanted him on their team and I said I will take him cuz I could see that he was athletic, just didn't know the game. He is a lot better than what I could coach into him, but I was the first to work with him and teach him how to shoot free throws.

In high school I wanted him to play football, great hands, fast, and can jump, I told him that if you would go out for football, you have a chance to be an NFL tight end, but his coach wouldn't let him play football.

Cool thing is that he still calls me Coach Flo when he sees me and tells me that I was the first one to believe in him. Great kid and I still wish he would have played football, but he made it onto the team that is #6 in the nation, still cool.
