Been lazy with NCAA basketball this year so I will start a thread with all tourney notes with plays and leans.

VCU -3 (-105)

-Highest RPI (66th) by any team not in the NIT or NCAA Tournaments. VCU had six wins against the top-100 in the RPI, three of which were against top-50 teams, two of which made the ncaa tournament (Richmond and Old Dominion)
-VCU beat both A10 opponents Richmond 65-57 and Rhode Island 82-80 this year
- GW and VCU have shared six opponents this year with VCU going 7-1 and the Colonials going 4-3.

Both teams have struggled in rebounding category, but the loss of size without Breeden will hurt Charleston even more on the boards

Michigan State -13½ (-105)

Look for Mich State defense to frustrate New Mexico State and limit their scoring chances. Mich State will own the offensive boards and should not have any trouble moving on to the 2nd round. Line opened at 12.5 with about 70% of action on NM State and the line moved to 13.5

Purdue -4 (-105)

Siena getting all the attention actually puts the pressure on them. Purdue's horrendous loss against Minnesota helped to keep this line low enough for value in Purdue. From the opening of this line, 65-70% have been on Siena yet the line has held steady at -4. Purdue has more talent that Siena and has had time to adjust its style without Hummel. Purdue even without Hummel boasts one of the top defenses in the country and should limit Siena's offense.

I still with ya on Purdue. Michigan St. worries me. I sure liked how NM St. played in their conference tourney. However their toughest opponet all year was UTEP whom they beat. I initially took MSU.

the 1-3-1 zone was a good idea early, but once UT started running the baseline properly, they got lay-ups. when that happens, OSU should've either had someone on the back give out some fouls (OSU lacked the depth to give fouls, so it ended up neutralizing their own solid interior defense when Lauderdale and other just had to watch lay-ups) or gone to man-to-man (they waited way too long). i'm a big OSU apologist, but those who put Thad Matta on their list of Top 10 coaches are being too charitable (Gottlieb, whom i respect, put Matta in his top 5; laughable).
