There are 5 plays that I love tonight and I am not trying to be an ass just confident here, AT LEAST FOUR OF THESE WILL WIN, IF NOT ALL FIVE.
These are all current lines at The Greek and I love all these plays and have bet them all for real money.
#1. WILLIAM and MARY + 8 1/2
The Tribe may win this game. Dont laugh, this will not be an easy game for North Carolina. Of course the public is betting this game up and it may close at 9 or 9 1/2 but I took it at the 8 1/2. The Public is betting this game up because the Tarheels have historically been great. They are not great this year.
This is a very very different Tarheels team than what they have had in the past. The Tarheels are 16-16 this year and probably didnt even deserve to be in teh NIT. This team padded their record by beating Florida International, NCCU, VALPO, Gardner Webb, Presbetyrian, Rutgers, Albany, Nevada.
That is a pathetic non conference schedule they played. In the ACC, The Tarheels finished 5-11, with 3 of their 5 wins coming against the two teams who finished at the bottom of the ACC. This is not a good Tarheels team and they will get all they can handle and then some thrown at them tonight against the Tribe.
William and Mary has some very impressive wins, and even though most havent heard much of this school, they have a good team. The Tribe comes in 20-11 on the year and I think they will stay with the Tarheels througout this one. It will be a game decided by much less than 8 points.
#2. Winthrop -3
This number is being bet up toward Winthrop right now and I think the public is on the right side here. Winthrop has faced better competition and come out with better results. This is a team who is no stranger to tournaments, even the NCAA tourney and I think they will roll tonight covering the 3 easily.
#3. Indiana State + 7 1/2
Another line where the dog is just being given too many points. The Sycamores can hit from behind the arc and play pretty good defense. That in itself will keep the game closer than 7 points.
The St Louis Billikens have struggled to score all year long, averaging only low 60's points per game. The Sycamores only give up in the low 60's as well. I dont see St. Louis putting up more than 65 and the Sycamores will easily cover if that is the case.
St. Louis does not blow teams out. 9 of the Billikens last 11 wins have been by 5 points or less. Most of the Sycamores losses have been close too. These are two teams who play very close games whether they win or lose, and the fact that their games are so low scoring also tends to keep it close. This should be alow scoring game as the total would suggest and that makes a 7 1/2 point line more like 10. Its just too many either way.
#4.Memphis NBA Team Total OVER 107
I dont even know what to say here. Memphis will score 107 and there will still be 8 minutes left in the game. The Grizzlies will have no problem scoring this number. I would guess closer to 117.
#5. Indiana Pacers OVER 97 1/2
Another team total thats crazy low. They got well into the 100's on the Celtics. This team goes up and down and gets a lot of shots. They arent scared to shoot the 3 and they will break 100 easily at home against Charlotte.
