    NCAA Tournament Expansion
Word has it this my happen as soon as 2011.

Ideas stem from adding a few play in games,to a full field of 96 teams.

    What do you think?

    Joe, first nice avatar!

I say add "em, it can't hurt the tournament, adds money to the NCAA coffers and can only add more interest to the tourney.

The NIT will then be down to an 8 team tournament.

I like the original 64 team format the best. The 65th team always seemed weird to me. If expansion is needed, go to 68 and no more. Have the eight weakest automatic bids play on Tuesday, with the 4 winners meeting the 4 #1 seeds on Thurs & Fri.

I think that expansion will eventually happen but its just going to water down the tournament. I am personally not a fan for it to happen but I think that its inevitable .

The ONLY way I like this idea is if they restrict the automatic bids to the regular season conference champions and have all the conference tournament champions play in one of the play-in games. If a team wins both the regular season and conference tourney title, their play-in bid goes to a bubble team.

No team has win the tourny outside the 4 seed adding teams that have no chance is not a good idea at all. This is a national champions tourny. Why don't they just do a $10000 buy in for it. I mean come on. Really

WORST FUKING IDEA EVER!!! Can you imagine all the mediocre teams that would fill out the final 32 spots?? God, I hope this never happens, it would water it down alot.

This is an awful idea. Look at the terrible teams that would have gotten in if they did. UConn and UNC would both be in comfortably if they expanded to 96. I would understand if they expanded it one team because I think there's a new conference, but to expand it to 96 would be insane.
