I usually consider upsets as 6 vs 11 or better in which case 2-3 upsets is usually a good #

I have a ton of upsets in the early rounds, but then a very formful Elite 8 (three 1 vs. 2 matchups, one 1 vs. 3) and my Final 4 is three 1s and a 2.

That is hardly an upset. Well, it is technically since Purdie is -3.5, but they won't beat Siena.

I see quite a bit actually. I don't know what people qualify as an upset but here are the higher seeds that have a great chance at winning.
#9 Northern Iowa over UNLV
#12 UTEP over #5 Butler
#11 Minnesota over #6 Xavier
#10 Florida over #7 BYU
#12 Cornell over #5 Temple
#10 Missouri over #7 Clemson
#9 Louisville over #8 California
#12 Utah State over #5 Texas A&M
#13 Siena over #4 Purdue
Also don't see why New Mexico State, Houston, San Diego State, Georgia Tech, Washington, and ODU can't win.

Disagree, I think all of those win. UTEP may be best bet of first round.

While I admit that Cornell is very very good for an Ivy team, they are being paired with 5 seed Temple. Temple in all actuallity should have been a 3 seed. I think they will be too much for Cornell to handle.

How can everyone love UTEP this much? Butler is AWESOME, they DOMINATED Siena. They can defend, score inside and outside. UTEP was 2-3 vs tournament teams this year. I think Butler will make a statement.

wow they dominated a not all that good siena team,,,,,the only guy that scores inside is howard and character will have him in so much foul trouble its not even funny...Butler is far from awesome, they really not that good and not nearly as talented as UTEP...that post is to damn funny, thanks for the laugh...."BUTLER IS AWESOME"..

Why do people like UTEP? Probably because Butler shits the bed every year. When your key player is Matt Howard you are in for a rough game if the other team has an inside presence. Well UTEP has that with Caracter. When Howard goes against a bigger guy who will body him he always seems to be in foul trouble and taken out of the game. Butler won't win without him. Not to mention the athletic advantage UTEP has. Howard rarely plays 30+ minutes because of his foul problems. He fouled out against Northwestern, Evansville, Minnesota, UCLA, Georgetown, Ohio State, UAB, Milwaukee, and Detroit. He also picked up four in 9 other games. UTEP will pick them apart without Howard.

UTEP has got a lot to prove, i think they will atleast win their first match. they have killed the cusa up until we owned them in the tourney.
as for houston! i hope we take care of maryland but anything after that looks hard. but i have faith no one expected us to take care of memphis let alone utep. and i have not seen maryland play at their peak so this might be a good upset wating to happen.

Wow . . . really? When I went through the odds for all the first-round games, this is one that jumped out at me. I'm lovin' A&M in this one.

Minnesota looks like a solid investment.
Line opened at PK, moved to Minnesota -1.5 with only 32% of all wagers on the Gophers (who are playing 5-6 hours from their campus and will be well represented).
