You didn't watch their regular season did you? They won their conference just like butler, but lost in the semis to Houston. Should not be seeded number 12. Butler should probably be a number 3 or 4. Bad seeding as much as UTEP is one of the best teams not in the Big 6 power conferences.

It happens a lot though in conference tournaments. In fact, sometimes it's better to lose early in touney and get more rest. UTEP already had NCAA bid wrapped up no matter what they did.

Longest win streak means nothing when you are beating crap. Memphis has longest win streak last year and they lost to Missouri, the first "real" team they faced in a while.
