Xavier is a clutch team. well-disciplined, never give up.
Watched both games yesterday.
Xavier came back from down 15 vs. Dayton who were playing with incredible ferocity especially in the first 3/4 of the game. Dayton was very athletic and also hot on 3's, big defense I rarely see them as great on D as they were.
Yet the Musketeers scratched and clawed back to game and won on FT's and clutch layups.
In the Richmond/UMass game, Richmond was 25% hotter on 3's than their average, and up very large.. yet they allowed UMass to pull back within range especially towards the end. As soon as Richmond started cooling off on 3's, UMass was on it's way back into the game.
Now I don't have to tell you that UMass is certainly no Xavier.
Bettors seem to be hitting Richmond. Line went from X -4 to -3 and the ML has gone down from -170 to -155.
Perhaps this is because the media is playing up the "revenge" factor. Richmond is the kind of team that plays a lot better at home. Well Xavier pushed them to OT in a comeback and defeated them at home by 2 this year.
I don't think this game will be that close. Xavier is a superior team.
I also have Xavier to win the Atlantic 10.
