Wonks and wonkettes seem to think it's almost a foregone conclusion that St. Mary's will face Gonzaga for Conference title.
Portland may be tired from last night's victory
I'm leaning Mary's here the line is cheap.

I'm trying to come up with a reason to play Portland or even call this game a no-play, but I can't.

Portland is a good team. you guys are talking like they stink, I have seen them play many times this year and they can be resiliant and are well coached. That being said I have a play on St Mary's but I won't for a second think Portland can't play with them in this game. Portland has a kid that can absolutly drill 3's from anywhere.

Don't be surprised if portland doesn't get down early and make a run back into it. Also you have to consider the spread at - 4... the public is acting like this is a lock but there are some sharps feeling that Portland can be in this game.

your talking about TJ Campbell ive watched Portland play all year and made bank on them against UCLA and Minnesota early this year. Portland will keep with St. Marys but St.Marys is gonna end up with the W in this one I think. And every single player on Portland can shoot the 3 there big guys can shoot the 3 very effectively

true Campbell is the PG and he is good but Stohl I believe is another sharp shooter.
I'm excited about this game either way. Its gonna be a goodone and there has been some good bball out of the west coast this year

yeah it went to -4.5 in the last 20 minutes or so.
that's meaningless. Quinnipiac moved hard today and they did not cover the original line.
More often than not Vegas bettors pound favorites.

Back to the original reason. Mary's wants to cement a Dance ticket. They are "in" right now
but not by much at all. They want to play Gonzaga for championship.
Portland is not chopped liver. We hit with them last night, but they should be tired
and do not have Raivio. Not taking this lightly either Wolf. Obviously Portland is a darn good team that's why they were only 4 point dogs.

Not sure if this really means anything at all or not, but ESPN analysts believe St Mary's must beat Portland tonight to be considered for an at large bid for the NCAA tourney. Hopefully this is a little more motivation for St Mary's, though my belief is this is something that they were aware of already before now so who knows.
