Syracuse to win Big East Tourn +200 (2x)
Both teams got good draws in my opinion. Syracuse probably has to go through Georgetown and Nova to get to the final. I think they should do that pretty easily, the Nova game might be trouble but Cuse always has some magic at the Garden and to get to the final is definitley worth +190. If they get there it depends who they play but I may hedge. I was expecting them to be a bit more heavily favored then this.

I think they have the toughest road to the finals but someone has to win this tournament and I don't think Kansas really cares if they win or not. Baylor is a very good team and I think will not only show it in this Big 12 Tourn but also in the Big Dance. Tweety Carter is money from the outside and they can play any style of ball. They also got a little bigger inside then years past so every game they play in is no longer a layup line by the opponents. +500 warrants a bet even though the road is tough.

The only reason this isn't a bigger play for me is because I have the future bet on them already pending a win tonight. There is value on the Zags in this game. They were favored by 4 at Saint Marys earlier in the year and then 6 at home. Both games they won, once by 7, and once by 19. It's hard to try and tell me that Gonzaga when they beat St M by 19 proved they were a much better team. You can't tell me that they shouldn't have moved the line up a little bit. They are implying now that if the game was played @ St. Marys Gonzaga would be -1 and if played at Gonzaga they would be -7. Not to mention that there is no team I feel more comfortable betting on. They do it all, cut to the hoop, play defense, play as a team, and have good shot selection. I love having Matt Bouldin and Steven Gray running the team I am betting on and when you throw in another stud like Robert Sacre it is all gravy. Not to mention they have a few other guys who could start almost anywhere in the country. I have read that people think the Zags don't really care if they win this tournament or not but SMC needs it. The Zags are a WCC team, if they don't win the tournament they lose a lot of respect across the country which has been the driving factor in establishing Gonzaga to what it is today. They play for respect, that is why they play a tough out of conference schedule every year and play tough teams like Duke this year and Connecticut last year. If they were going to sleep walk through this tournament they could have last night as 12 point favorites but they pretty much dominated that game. Now they get their rivals and are supposed to lay down again? I don't see it.

So Fla/DePaul o123.5 (1x)
Very low number here and while I like most of the unders in the first round of the Big East tournament I think this one will find a way to sneak over. South Florida has been an over team all year mostly because they have found ways to push the ball up the floor quickly and create open shots for All-Big East selection Dominque Jones. The thing about a number this low is that we could see a ton of meaningless points at the end of the game. Both teams seasons are on the line especially South Florida and not many teams choose to just let the clock run out down 12. I don't think it will come too that but it's a nice security. I think this one will land around 130.

This line is nuts. How can it possibly be this low? We are talking about Connecticut against St. Johns. SJU is supposedly the home team but I don't expect the crowd to effect the Huskies too much. Uconn has won 9 straight against St. Johns and all of them came by 8 or more points. Guys like Kemba Walker, Jerome Dyson, and Stanley Robinson are too much for Johns to handle. I am not anticipating much of a contest.
