you're not kidding. the upside is that a wide margin could be exactly what we need. Tubby and the boys need a win they can feel good about. Gophers could be looking for 80.

thanks, dude. Gophers needed a feel good win off Ann Arbor beatdown. we got just enough fouls 2H so we didn't have to sweat it out.

yes, Iowa is dreadful. they couldn't stop Minnesota's bigs at all.

what's up, capri? fun wedding? i was getting ready to call it a night. started real bad - 0-3 - so had to work to make it up. played way more games that i intended, but put together 5-1 finish, which was solid and hit both big plays.

that said, if the streak is going forward tonight, far be it for me to miss out. also have some other work i'll be up doing. i looked at St Mary's and was thinking either St. Mary's or 1H under. let me know what you think.

My capping has the Geal's winning by maybe 9 or so. I need some action, I was thinking all day that this was my play of the day.

i've never looked at it before, but i'll check it out. college hoops is pretty much all i think about this time of year.

let's go Gaels. played Gaels minus points (was still -3.5 at the Greek - so tempting, which is probably what he wants) and 1H under too, both small. i like the St Mary's team, esp with Portland paying back to back. Omar Samhan might be my 2010 galoot of the year. Tyler Hansbrough had that award on lockdown for a long time.

Samhan better play big tonite, instead of just takin up space. He is a Galoot. Gonzaga kicked ass, the contest is all about college hoop's. That's all I do, college football from September to Jan. College hoop's from November 15 to April 5th. Then vacation start's the 6th of April to Augest 1st, the whole month of Augest I get ready for college football / college hoop's. Ok St. Mary's is gettin ready to tip. I'll be back at the half. GL

Glad to see you rebounded on the day. I chickened out on all the later bets after going 1-4. Sucks too because I liked St. Mary's, Zag's, etc.. But I decided to stop betting and regroup for this week. Seems whenever I chase I really dig a hole I can't get out of. Looking forward to a great week of games.

i hear you, thatswhatshesaid. i've gotten better about chasing and money management, but it's difficult. i've been pretty cold the past 2 weeks, and in years past, would've blown out my accounts in frustration. knowing when to take a break or to lower wager size is huge. looking forward to the next 3 weeks.

hey capri. getting ready to grab some lunch and cap these games. W&M/ODU is first, but i can already see how that's going to go: small lean on W&M but will probably pass. ODU could blow them out, and W&M too reliant upon 3s and can't stop ODU inside at all. ODU will run lay-ups lines while the Tribe plays 3-point contest, and unless the 3s are falling, the Tribe may never be more than 3 bad minutes away from a blow-out.

that said, until tonight, i still have the dream of our first ever NCAA bid.

yeah, W&M '95. that's why i'm so into the CAA. when they got Top 25 votes for first time ever this season, i was on cloud 9 - in hoops, W&M has always been the weak unathletic stepchild to VCU, JMU, ODU (plus Richmond, only in-conf for football, where at least Tribe shows well, albeit I-AA). my dad still goes to the conf tourney most years. pretty much every season, they've been one and done in conf tourney, but Shaver has turned them into a decent team despite its athletic limitations and this is second chance in three years in conf tourney final. that's real progress for that program.

also, my younger brother played for Shaver when he was at Hampden-Sydney, so we have a lot of conversations about how Shaver will approach certain teams. unfortunately, with this ODU team, it's not a very cheery conversation. clutch, hold, slow this game down as much as possible, send ODU to the line when necessary, try to get something mid-range going with Sumner and McDowell, and hope Schneider and co hit 10 3s minimum. i cap it at ODU, 62-57, but ODU is one of those Wisconsin/N Iowa-type teams that can choke a team out and turn a 4 point lead into 14 in the final 5 minutes. going to have to pass on W&M +9 and just watch and hope they keep it close enough for a chance in the closing minutes.

Great write up. I'm really into CAA, Hofstra is few miles from where I grow up. They dumped football team (hofstra) last season. Also like GMason head coach, hes from same part of Italy as me. LOL. Anyway, it's going to be tuff road beatin Old Dominion. OD money line ?

well, i can't follow you on the ODU moneyline, but i'd have a hard time talking you out of it. if you go that route, one of us is going to be extremely happy around 9:15.
