Gophers are playing very well since the upset of Wisconsin and need this one bad. With the exception of DeShawn Sims, Michigan is bunch of quitters. Michigan lost their last two home games to Penn State and Illinois, and will lose tonight. Gophers by 6.

one of the few advantages to attending Cleveland State games, other than the fact that they serve beer and laughing at the giant curtain that closes off one-third of the arena so that it's not obvious just how empty the place is, is being overly familiar with how much difficulty they have covering large spreads (3 homes games this season with spread 9-12, 0-3 ATS). they've also historically struggled vs Loyola (best CSU team in awhile last season cover both match-ups, but this season, won by 3 and 5 and failed to cover both). off the upset of Wright State on Saturday, CSU will win but struggle to do so by more than 6-7.

the Gophers are really starting to come together, beginning with Wisconsin. story goes that Paul Carter's 13 year-old sister was diagnosed with cancer just before that and the entire team shaved their heads to show support. i don't normally go in on hallmark human interest bs like that, but there's not question that they've been on fire since then. their upset of Illinois in Champaign this weekend was what convinced me. they've been rough on the road this season, but after the heartbreaking loss to Purdue, the bounceback upset in Champaign says a lot about their improvement this season. a month ago, i'd have been much more skeptical.

its crazy that cle st is laying that many points as they been terrible at covering spreads at home against teams they should handle with ease......guess my 1 worry would be the foul game at the end as ive seen cle st shoot them lights out in a few games down the stretch and being a elimination game loyola-chi may try and stretch it out further and destroy the cover....no way i would lay the chalk though

I agree, but Loyola's been downright awful since upsetting Wright State many moons ago.

I love the play on Minnesota. They are becoming one of my favorite teams to bet on. Even away from home, I think they are underrated.

yeah, that definitely concerns me. at the same time, CSU generally plays down to teams, and they're easing two guards back into the lineup from injury (Harmon, James), and i'm figuring that disrupts their rhythm some (to the extent they have any). Loyola should go into this game knowing they can play with CSU. a team like Loyola could always get blown out, but with the way that Waters coaches, it takes an exceptional shooting game from his team, a miserable shooting game from the opponent, or opponent getting pressed to death to blow someone out. If Loyola controls turnovers (my biggest concern), and neither team has a shooting night way off the norm, CSU should be icing it with FTs and be in the 6-8 range. well, i hope.
