They're simply a better team than Marshall. MU isn't bad this year, but this UTEP squad is Sweet 16 material IMHO and they need this win badly to pad their resume.

Marshall doesn't have anyone who can guard Caracter. I think UTEP takes this game by at least 3 or 4 points, and right now, they're sitting at +1.

Culpepper and Caracter are outstanding. Whiteside's a good post player for MU, but he's giving up probably 60-70 pounds to Caracter.

Should be a fun game to watch.

I don't know if I'd mess with it. Marshall will try to run, and UTEP's going to want to feed Caracter in its half-court sets. UTEP can play both ways so it might go over, but if they get a lead and try to protect it, you might be disappointed.

don't forget, Marshall is off that 3 OT game vs UCF Saturday. that's got to be another factor in favor of UTEP, both in terms of fatigue and because Marshall had a ton of chances to put away heavy dog UCF and couldn't do so.

you right i been beating this teams drum for quite some time and they certainly capable of making a run....doesnt change the fact marshal is tough and i just feel better about keeping all the cash ive been making on them the last month as it seems everyone is on the bandwagon now ....every team i ride for a while when the secret gets out and the majority start pounding that team in a game like this imo its time to back away.....i hope they lay a serious egg tonight so they go back to being overlooked as a ass kicking from marshal with all the ppl on them will get everyone off the bandwagon real quick and i can go back to getting value with them

i still think utep will get it done too but i think its too risky with some other options that are out there tonight. ive been on utep all year also, cashed +375ish at memphis to end their homestreak- they are a really good team. id just rather bet against an ok team than another good team.

better safe than sorry i guess. right? it was a close game and marshall was leading for a large portion of it. i just ended up putting utep in a couple parlays that got killed early by minnesota, got scared off the pick too.
