Someone explain Notre Dame to me
So they aren't really tearing it up this year, and then they lose their first team all-american, Harangody to a knee injury.

    What happens?

They go to Louisville and lose in triple OT.

They beat Pitt by 15, and the game wasn't even that close.

They go to Georgetown and are beating the shit out of the Hoyas. They lead by 16 with 3 minutes to go.

    Odd.

Patrick Ewing theory. They would have beat Louisville too if every player over 6'8 didn't foul out while Samardo Samuels got away with murder.

Patrick Ewing theory. = Best player being INJ/retired/ no longer able to play with team, but the team finds success with out them

Tiki Barber retires = NYG Super Bowl

I dont know the other examples, maybe Irish Time can brush me up on my Bill Simmons references.

ND is a better team without Harangody.

Harangody forgot this season what made him the BE Player of the Year 2 years ago. He is now playing for NBA scouts. Forcing shots, trying to hit that 15 footer every game----

If ND beat UConn at home this week, I am pretty certain you can start to consider them for an NCAA berth.

Exactly, MB. And by taking the fall away jumpers and 3s this year, he's also been out of position for the rebounds. I think he's hurt his draft status this year.

harangody is the 4th most efficient player on the team, but takes most of the shots
