Largest on campus crowd of the year for a college basketball game. I see Villanova is getting 5 1/2 though I would have to read what AMB has to say on this game before I play it as he hits `Cuse games like a motherfukker. However if you don`t mind playing the ML, I think Syracuse is a good bet at -160. Don`t see Syr laying down in front of all those fans.

#7gonna be hard for Scottie to be knifing down the lane against that zone, i would think cuse length could be a serious factor in this 1 and i certainly dont buy that everyone will be playing cuse as nova is one of the ppls favorite teams....should be a excellent game but if i bet it ill be on cuseComment -

#8To me, Villanova +5.5 seems generous. No reason 'Nova can't win outright; I'm not saying they will, I just think these teams are pretty evenly matched.
With that kind of crowd in the house, I hope the game is a good one.Comment -

#14I just went out and bought the Post-Standard (Syracuse newspaper), will read up on this game and hope to get back to you men with anything I think might be helpful. Right now would lean Vill plus the points, though like I said earlier, not making a real pick until AMB gives his thoughts, fukker hits `Cuse sports like a motherfukker! Oh, and awarded some points because bigpapa or something started a thread on the same subject after this one, so trying to encourage posts in here. As opposed to calling him a dink or something.Comment -

#17I think Syracuse's zone defense will be good enough to shut down Villanova's offense. Villanova's offense has been a little bit below their average standard in recent games anyway and I expect that trend to continue in today's matchup. I think Syracuse covers here but I believe it will be a close game.Comment -

i tend to agree with you on this my friend, that zone is so tough because they all so damn long....just dont see Scottie slicing and dicing his way into the lane in this 1Comment -

#21Good feel that Syracuse wins this game though no real feel by how many. Orange are 45-22 at the Carrier Dome with a crowd of 30,000 or more which is not that great. Feel Villanova`s best chance is if they take the crowd out of the game. Either way I agree with the Banker, it should be a great fukking game. Lastly, Bobby Knight is one of the announcers and my opinion is he adds honest insight as a former coach and is a smart man making the game more interesting to watch.Comment -

#25I actually kind of like the over in this one but I don't know that I can take it with the number being that big.
As for the game, I like nova in this spot. I really think the whole Carrier Dome thing is overrated. We saw louisville go in a few weeks ago and completely outplay syracuse and quite honestly, I'd have to say that Nova owns Syracuse right now. Even if they don't win, I think the wildcats should be able to keep it within 5 here tonight as it should be a tight game all night. I'm predicting something along the lines of a 'Nova 84 - 'Cuse 80 game.Comment -

#29Thanks for the pts pittsburgh player
I really like nova's ability to space the floor out. I think you are right law-byrnes, nova should be able to pick its way through the zone. But let's say for the sake of argument that nova is having trouble with the zone and is forced to shoot jump shots. This is where I would be worried. Nova can be absolutely lights out at times but they are streaky and if they aren't hitting those shots then they will have trouble. But like I said, I think they can spread the court out and attack the zone without having to settle.
I'm from Philadelphia and get to see them play a ton. Nova's teams are similar regardless of the year - strong guard play, attack the rim, and ball screens. I've seen them at their worst when they go cold and they can look downright ugly, so let's hope that doesn't happen tonight (that is, if you took nova). As for scottie reynolds, I'm not a huge fan of him because I see his flaws. But I think he is a good leader and I think he's going to really play well tonight. He's a senior this year and a lot has been made of how much he wants to finish his college career the right way. Wanting something and doing it are two completely different things so I don't mean to say this convince any of you guys that he's going to play a great game. But I've seen him take his game to another level in big moments before and I look for that tonight.Comment -

#30Twizzler, my pleasure man. Nice write up. I live down the road from `Cuse and will have no money on this game for a couple reasons...one so that I can enjoy it, second I am not sure who I would take. I`ll repeat what I have already said, if forced to make a play I would take the points, however I think Syr will win so ultimately I`d be on the ML. I hope all you men had a winning day.Comment -

#31Two very evenly matched teams in a tough environment where both teams need a win in the conference, again if forced i would take the points... especially at +5 or higher as I think in the end it comes down to 1 or 2 possessions... best of luckComment -

#32I just made my play on the game. Like I said, I like nova to win outright. However, if they do lose, they tend to really really extend the game with fouls. If anyone watched the nova-georgetown matchup from a few weeks ago they know exactly what I'm talking about. So I actually bought it up to 6 points. BOL everyone.Comment -
