It's not all that difficult to see why Michigan is favored. They're at home with wins over UConn and Ohio St., while Illinois has lost on the road to Georgia and Northwestern.
And no, things that happened four years ago didn't factor into this spread.

I don't factor in things that happened four years ago. Two completely different teams. Doesn't make any sense to me. I focus on matchups and how teams are playing THIS season.

Four years ago? How about NINE years ago?

How about Illinois beating Wisconsin at Wisconsin (and that's not an easy place to play). Last 5 games strength of schedule is clearly in Illinois favor and they have gone 3-2 vs Michigan going 2-3. It's not that Michigan can't win it, but if I bet it, I would go with Illinois and the +3
Good Luck on whatever you do............

Huge game for Illinois, no doubt. I agree with you here - many seem to have them in for sure, but if they don't get to 12-6 in Big Ten play, I think they get left out. They have an unimpressive non con resume.

Looks like 1-10 after tonight. The only place Michigan should be in march is on spring break.
