What a corroboration! I wanted to post the Over play in the Villanova game and just said let me first check the champion's picks for the day.

This play is very poetic. I tried pronouncing it this way:

The line went up to 146 already, do you still find some value in this play.
I double check, and seem like all the recent trends, stats point to an easy OVER play, but when I check the last 10 match up among these two teams, they are 2-7 O-U (one time there's no line).
The line 146 is the highest setting for total in the last 10 matchups, which is a good sign IMO.
Hope to get some of you respond prior the game time.

Sorry for the delayed response, just got back to my laptop. I'm seeing it at 147 currently and would still take it at this number. Yes you are correct, the last 9 H2H are 2-7 in favor of the under but just feel that Nova has proven themselves in this particular spot countless times already this year and Pitt, coming off a low scoring output as well, and being at home, sends this one over the posted total.

Do you mind offering your insight on the UMass play? I'm also leaning UMass. I think the publics perception on St.Louis is inflated based on their last two wins over RI & Dayton. Yes St.Louis should win but coming off those two wins I'm thinking letdown here.

First off, I can't figure out the public love for St Louis in this spot. They are only 3-5 on the road this season and 3-7 away from home if you throw in the 2 neutral site games, so don't know why everyone is in love with them at basically a pickem. In addition, they're only averaging around 58 on the road while allowing close to 64 per game. Finally, they shoot a terrible 59 percent from the stripe as well.

UMASS on the otherhand is 6-4 at home, averaging over 71 points per game while holding opponents to 69 points per game. They're coming off a tough road loss at GW and I expect them to bounce back at home against a poor road club.

Finally, the home/away stats show a huge advantage to UMASS in almost every category with the one exception being 3 point shooting where St. Louis holds a 7 percent better average. Other than that, UMASS has a 13 PPG better average, 2 percent better average in FG percentage, 10 percent better average from the line, and average 6 boards per game better than the visitors.

To add to all this, I would not feel comfortable backing a team on the road that can't hit their free throws bottomline. If this does end up being a tight game and come down to free throws, who would you rather be backing. I just think UMASS finds a way to get it done today and I'm not buying into the public love for this piss poor road club.
